Lasers are a recent development in Proctology and a textbook on this topic was much needed. As soon as I started reading the book, my attention was drawn to the excellent illustrations, especially of the anatomy and the procedures. But the text is crisp too- the content is relevant and lucid. The basics of lasers are easily understandable. The operative steps are easy to follow and would cajole any surgeon to bring the newer advances into practice. While author’s stamp is there on many procedures, proper references have been given. To sum up- this book is as versatile as an all-rounder.

This is a book which is must read for every surgeon doing anorectal surgery. It is an excellently researched book which has all information on lasers in proctology. The rationale for hybrid procedures in proctology is very apt. The diagrams are excellent. The chapter on anatomy is really good. Have to complement Dr Kamal Gupta for authoring a book which would be a must have for every surgeon doing ano rectal surgery.
